Attending #DefCon32 was an incredible experience, and one of the highlights was engaging with attendees at the #BlueTeamVillage. Our discussions on the psychological resilience, mental health, and personality traits of cyber defenders underscored the critical role that human factors play in cybersecurity.
It was inspiring to connect with others who are exploring similar research areas, including Erick Miyares and Dr. Darius Hines-Cross. These conversations reinforced the importance of studying the cognitive and emotional demands placed on cybersecurity professionals.
As part of my ongoing research, I am currently conducting a psychological study to examine the personality traits and perspectives of cyber defenders worldwide. The more participants we have, the richer the insights we can gather to support and strengthen our cyber community.
